WOW! Talk about a lucky find! The Coronado Campground run by the Town of Bernalillo, New Mexico and overlooking the Rio Grande is a gem! We were looking for somewhere to stay a couple of days in Albuquerque to get some minor repairs done on the trailer. After 6,000+ miles it needed an adjustment on its weight distribution hitch and a few nit picky issues. Since we’re towing with our old Toyota 4 Runner, we also want to get the oil changed, brakes and shocks checked. So we stopped before venturing on to Chaco Canyon later this week.
There were a multitude of choices of RV Parks – two KOA’s, a Stagecoach place supposedly in a “light industrial” area and the Coronado Campground. So for half the price of most of the others, we’re happily ensconced for a couple of days to regroup. And just wait until you see the views! Plus if you were so inclined (we’re not), we’re surrounded by casinos!
Waiting for sunset on the bench overlooking the Rio Grande … sipping some wine … watching the colors change … does life get better than this? This is one reason we love the RV lifestyle!
More errands tomorrow, maybe some sightseeing along the way. We understand there’s alot more to Albuquerque than a Lance Dealer and Toyota Dealer. 🙂

Look for Sandra Shadows wine. We had some and it was superb. The winery is on the slope of Sandia mountain
