And it also lets me know that it’s a balmy 67 degrees inside, plus the humidity inside and outside and that the forecast...

I pretty much failed to capture the partial eclipse in a photograph this evening… but the sunset that followed almost redeemed the failure!

A hidden gem of geological catastrophe, Providence Canyon is still breathtaking.  In the 1820’s when pioneers moved to this area of  southwest Georgia, it was all rolling hills.  They stripped all the natural vegetation to plant cotton, plowing downhill year after year.  Within 20 years (20 YEARS!!!) the sandy soil’s continued erosion grew from ditches...
