Headed to South Dakota to see Wind Cave, Badlands & Mt Rushmore National Parks? Consider camping in Custer State Park, a state park that should have been a national park! Both wildlife and scenery are magnificent – we had a visit from a bison in our front yard one late afternoon!

Off in search of fall foliage and wildlife, our 5300 mile fall Wild Wild West RV loop featured 6 National Parks and found us stealing huckleberries from the bears.

Sometimes while traveling cross-country in your #TravelTrailer or #RV, you just want to spend the night somewhere a bit quieter or more comfortable than a rest stop or WalMart parking lot.  That was our thought tonight as we drove through Des Moines, Iowa, in a full blown thunderstorm gale, 500 miles from home.  Headed west on I-80, we contemplated our options....
