Brrrr… What’s The Temp Outside?

When we woke up it was 49 degrees here in the armpit of Florida.  But it was 29 at the lake, so we’re good!  Need a good wireless digital thermometer with a remote for outside?  We love our Oregon Scientific Advanced Weather Station! And it also lets me know that it’s a balmy 67 degrees inside, plus the humidity inside and outside and that the forecast is for sunshine. If you need a weather station for your boat or trailer, we can recommend this one! Cheers!...

Hike Providence Canyon State Park

A hidden gem of geological catastrophe, Providence Canyon is still breathtaking.  In the 1820’s when pioneers moved to this area of  southwest Georgia, it was all rolling hills.  They stripped all the natural vegetation to plant cotton, plowing downhill year after year.  Within 20 years (20 YEARS!!!) the sandy soil’s continued erosion grew from ditches to gullies to dramatic canyons.  60 million years ago this area was covered with ocean, accounting for the very sandy loose soil. Wondering why there aren’t any new Trailer Traveler blog posts?  Here are the reasons & I cannot think of any better.
