But then we aren’t from Kansas anyway … we’re from flatland Illinois: black dirt, corn belt and soybeans. But driving through southern Georgia we see acres and acres of white … cotton.

Fields and fields of cotton demand big green combines… like watching fields in the midwest this time of year, only harvesting cotton, not corn or soybeans.
And watched the farmers harvest the cotton … and the semi’s barreling down the road full of yellow encapsulated rolls of cotton – much like the hay rolls so common in the Midwest. Photos? Of course!

Cotton Combine in SW Georgia — see the “bale” of cotton on the back? When it gets to full size, the combine rolls it in yellow plastic before it goes on the semi.
Amazing the things you see when you’re on your way to anywhere! Enjoy every day! Cheers! Jan
