We originally bought our Lance 1685 from another dealer, but when it came time to fix the slideout warranty issue they didn’t respond. We started looking for another Lance dealer anywhere within a day’s driving range of Central Illinois. I found Middleton RV in Festus, Missouri – just south of St Louis.  WooHoo – now we don’t have to drive through the maze of downtown Chicago traffic, St Louis is MUCH easier access and a half hour closer! Does it get better?

Since they weren’t the dealer we ordered our Lance from, we had no idea what to expect in terms of service. But they were great! They fixed our slideout warranty issue – added the stainless strips underneath.
The fix – stainless tracks added under the slideout – a warranty structural fix which has since been corrected at the factory, so new Lance owners don’t have to worry about it.
Timmy called, ordered the parts he’d need from Lance, got the 160 watts of GoPower Solar from Lance and then contacted us to set an appointment.

They kept the trailer longer than we anticipated – since they had never actually seen our Lance until we took it in for the appointment, they had to reorder some different parts to get it right, but all in all, they outperformed our expectations.

Guess who our dealer will be if our trusty old 4 Runner decides to give it up someday and we decide to upgrade to a Lance 1985? Not saying we’d change, but gotta be flexible!  🙂

Plus, you never know when you’re traveling across the country, you might need an unexpected stop. We did in Albuquerque and we can give kudos to Rocky Mountain RV for changing brackets and tightening our Fastway E-2 weight distribution hitch/sway bars while we were on the road.
